"The best staff this side of the Atlantic"
Lady Amelia, London Jul 10, 2007
We stayed at the Cawdor for a wedding, and the entire hotel I think was booked for the wedding party. The rooms are stunning!
The staff were all, without exception, friendly, cheery and helpful, even when some of us were being a real pain and highly demanding. Despite scenes of hilarious riotous drunkenness and a flambuoyant celebratory atmosphere and guests, the staff did not bat an eye and continued to help us with efficiency and humour. The food was delicious and would sit well at home amongst the well known elite restaurants of central London.
If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend staying at the Cawdor. But don't let Gareth the barman start pouring you shots on the house...
"Absolutely superb!"

Booked to stay for our wedding anniversary. Having stayed before we knew the food , service and accommodation would be excellent but they upgraded us to the best suite as a surprise!
The suite was huge with a massive bed in the middle of the room, an incredible oversized shower and bathroom, lounge areas and views over the beautiful countryside. We ate in the restaurant that night - the food was both reasonable and delicious.
Great wine/ champagne list. Breakfast is as you would expect - first class!
We love Morgans in Swansea (same owners) but can honestly say the staff, service and calibre of The Cawdor is of the same high standard.
"Wonderful Hotel!"

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at The Cawdor. The hotel is supurb. Our room was Carreg Cennen which was appropriate as we had just visited Carreg Cennen Castle, as it is only a stone throw from Llandeilo. The room has everything you could possibly want for a romantic relaxing break and more. We had a first class meal in the hotel restaurant, and the staff were so friendly and helpful throughout the hotel it made us feel so special. We finished by having our breakfast in our room as we didn't want to leave!
Overall a first class stay in a beautiful part of the country. Thank you for the experience and we will be back to 'Spend the Night Together'!!
Wonderful hotel, no complaints!"

I Have just returned from a stay at the cawdor and felt that i had to write a review! mainly because of the superb standard of service it held, upon arrival i was told that my room had been upgraded! I only paid £65 a night and stayed in a £100 room! it was their quiet season though! ( i stayed in Bettws) the room was lovely and spacious and the toiletries and "extras" were of high quality i.e the bathrobes, were a great suprise! As someone wrote in a previous review the lounge area just made you want to stay in the leather sofas all day!
The Dinner and breakfasts i had were out of this world, so much infact that i chose to stay an extra night.all the staff are pleasant and helpful and all are happy to chat! i will recommend this hotel to everyone! an absolute must stay!
"Fantastic!"

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights because we were going to a family wedding in Llandeilo. The whole party had a fantastic time and everyone commented on how much they liked the hotel. Our bedroom and ensuite bathroom were lovely and the bed was huge! Each room is individual and beautifully finished. Molton Brown products were laid out in the bathroom and there were tea & coffee facilities if you fancied sitting down and watching your massive flat screen TV. Fab!
The breakfasts were nice and the evening meal we had was really special. This hotel has a relaxed and cosy feel and I'd really recommend it.
"Nice place to relax"

Intended to spend 1 night here on the way to the Welsh coast. Ended up staying 3 days in the end because it was so relaxing and we were being looked after so well.
Staff were very friendly and attentive, first question they asked at check-in is if we wanted breakfast in bed (this does cost though). The room (Egremont) was really nice, if very red. We got offered an upgrade to one of the larger rooms after the first night but liked ours so much we decided to stay. Not that tv is important, but the plasma screen on the wall atthe foot of the bed is positioned so you don't even have to move your head off the pillow.
The restaurant serves nice, well presented food. Wine list alright, cheap, especially the champagne. Ifyou're not in the mood the chippie round the corner does decent chips and gravy.
Most of all, the staff just couldn't seem to help enough, whatever was phoned for turned up in less than 5 minutes, they don't mind chatting at the bar or in the restaurant. Just made the whole thing relaxing and enjoyable
head round to Carreg Cennen castle if you get a chance, it's worth a visit, even on a rainy February day.
